About Chambers United

  • Chambers United was founded in July 2008 and officially launched on March 3, 2010.

The first Chamber of Commerce to register with Chambers United was the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce in Maryland under the leadership of Rhonda L. Slade, President and CEO. Ms. Slade recognized the value of convenience and enhanced visibility that would be provided to her membership with participation in this site with the potential for global opportunities. Chambers United is currently focusing on registering the various Chamber of Commerce organizations located within the territories of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington DC, Virginia and West Virginia, but has long range plans to expand the network and increase the service offerings over the next few years.

The driving force behind Chambers United was to meet the needs voiced by various members of different chambers of commerce located within the state of Maryland. Collectively these chamber members needed an easy to use, centralized location to be informed of the various chamber events local to their business location in addition to a centralized business directory to expand their reach and broaden their business networks.
